One of the few bakeries that do croissant and pastries right. Love the almond croissant and seasonal danish. Always grab a bunch whenever I pass by!

WOW! Just Wow. Dropped by Monday at 10:30am, and luckily the line wasn't long. What we got: - Blueberry Danish ~with ginger tucked into the blueberry custardy filling, this pastry was a great grab! A nice slightly sweet with warm spices to start the day! - Ham and Cheese Croissant ~crunchy layers on the outside and slightly fluffy layers on the inside, this pastry was well balanced with the savory ham inside. A classic. With some tables on the side, we snagged one in the sun and were able to chow down. Note: If you're lucky and come at the perfect time, almond croissants freshly made are available. While eating, the cashier revealed the almond croissants were just made available. From the nearby customers who snagged one, I overheard that they were still warm and really good. A cute rustic place that is now my go-to place for pastries in South Bay! Will return!

Usually the sign of a long line means for a bakery means great food and they did not disappoint. I think I've tried almost everything here at this point, the demi baguette, country loaves, focaccia, croissants, etc. You literally cannot go wrong with anything. Above all, the fresh focaccia is a must-try. Some might not call the focaccia as it is, and I would partially agree with that. It's more like a Detroit-style pizza with all the extra toppings they have. Don't be daunted by the lines!! Definitely worth a visit.

Fresh bread and bakes a gem spot! They close early and usually there is a line on weekends and sell out quickly so if you want to try their new flavors get in early. I love that their menu changes with the seasons so it keeps always exciting to try new flavors. They also one of kind that makes fresh panettone during this time.

Came here on a Monday morning with some friends! We got the blueberry danish, almond croissant, the ham and cheese croissant, and the walnut currant bread! The almond croissant was nice and flakey, while soft on the inside. The blueberry danish was my favorite - loved the flavor combination of the blueberries and the custard filling. We all loved the walnut current loaf - it was soft and flavorful with a little bit of sweetness from the currants! The staff was very friendly and they have outdoor seating too, which is nice! They had a coffee station, but it wasn't open for some reason, so they only had drip coffee. Will definitely be back again!

Wow! Blown away by the pastries here. Stopped in on a Saturday morning and there was a big line. However, they know how to run a good operation. The line moves quick, things are ready to carry out. The ham and cheese pastry was probably our very favorite, followed by the chocolate sourdough. I'll be dreaming of those two. We also tried the plain and chocolate croissants. The flakey layers of the croissant truly are unmatched. Tried the pumpkin pastry and it was full of what tasted almost like straight pumpkin puree, if that's your thing. Stop in here. A fabulous find in the area!

A hidden gem! Tucked away in a residential area, I'm so glad I found this place. I got: - Almond croissant: This was perfectly flaky and crunchy, with just the right sweetness and nuttiness from the almond paste. - Frangi twist: I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it! The braided bread twisted with chocolate and a light dusting of sugar was delicious. - Blueberry danish: My favorite! The pastry was soft and buttery, and the blueberries were juicy and fresh. I arrived at ~11am on a Saturday and they still had a good selection of pastries available, but all their tables were occupied. I'll definitely be back to try more of their pastries!

This bakery is SO cute! They make all of the bread fresh, so I would definitely recommend stopping by earlier in the morning. There is a small display of available pastries/items for the day, and they do have a seasonal menu too so check out those items if you're curious! I wanted to try their almond croissant, so I ordered a few of those for my friends and me to share. The croissant was baked really well! I enjoyed the light, fluffy texture on the inside and the crisp exterior. They were generous with the almonds placed on top, and the flavors integrated into the pastry were really fresh! The powdered sugar coating can definitely get messy, so be prepared if you are wearing something nice. I didn't get to try the other items I ordered, but my friends really enjoyed the strawberry danish and cardamom bun I bought them!

I can't speak to the actual store experience, but I found the Midwife and the Baker at a morning farmer's market in SF. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I asked the staff for recommendations and I was not disappointed. I ended up getting the cardamom croissant, which I've actually never had before, and I was really happy with my choice. Since I didn't have anything cardamom before, they described it as a flavor similar to chai. Aside from the flavor, the croissant itself was crispy and very good considering it was laid out for a while at the market. I'm thinking it would be even better fresh! Would totally recommend their pastries!
